These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("you" or "user") and Digital Box Studios ("we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the IP Scanner: Network Tools iOS application (the "App") and the iptoolspro.com website (together, the "Services").
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, whichever is higher) to use the App. By using the App you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
2. License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use, as permitted by Apple's Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits.
- Distribute, sell, rent, lease, lend, or sublicense the App.
- Use the App to build a competing product or service.
- Remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices.
- Use automated means to access the App, or interfere with its normal operation.
3. Subscription — IP Scanner Pro
The App is free to download and includes optional auto-renewable subscriptions that unlock premium features ("IP Scanner Pro").
3.1 Subscription options
Current offerings (prices and durations shown in the App's purchase screen at the time of purchase; local tax may apply):
- Monthly: auto-renews every 1 month.
- Annual: auto-renews every 12 months.
Exact titles, durations, and prices are displayed in the App before purchase and may change over time. Trials or introductory offers, where available, are disclosed on the purchase screen.
3.2 Billing and auto-renewal
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Your subscription automatically renews at the same price and duration unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your Apple ID account settings after purchase.
3.3 Free trials and introductory offers
If a free trial or introductory price is offered, any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Introductory offers apply to new subscribers only and are governed by Apple's rules.
3.4 Cancellation and refunds
- You may cancel a subscription at any time through your Apple ID subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access to premium features until then.
- Refunds are handled by Apple. We do not process refunds directly. You can request one at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
3.5 Price changes
We may change subscription prices. If we do, you will be notified through Apple in accordance with Apple's rules, and if required, you will be asked to confirm the new price before renewal. If you do not confirm, your subscription will not renew.
4. Acceptable Use — Network Scanning
The App includes tools that discover and probe devices on a network (IP scanning, port scanning, ping, DNS lookup, WHOIS, etc.). You are solely responsible for how you use these tools.
You agree to use the App only on:
- Networks you own, or
- Networks you have explicit, verifiable permission to scan (for example, your employer's IT policy, a client engagement with written scope, or your home network).
You agree not to use the App to:
- Scan, probe, or map networks, systems, or devices without authorization.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system, account, or data.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, or "red team" work on third-party infrastructure without written authorization.
- Violate any applicable law, including the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (US), the Computer Misuse Act (UK), the GDPR, or equivalent laws in your jurisdiction.
- Harass, threaten, or harm any person or their property.
- Circumvent security controls, rate limits, or access restrictions of any service.
Network scanning without authorization is illegal in many jurisdictions. You accept full legal and financial responsibility for your use of the App. We disclaim any liability arising from your misuse.
5. Third-Party Services and Content
The App integrates with third-party services including Apple, RevenueCat, Google AdMob, Google Analytics, and OneSignal (see our Privacy Policy). Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, accuracy, or practices.
The App may display advertisements from third parties. Advertisers are solely responsible for the content of their ads and for any products or services they offer.
6. Intellectual Property
The App, including all software, designs, text, graphics, and other content, is owned by Digital Box Studios or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
"IP Scanner," "IP Tools Pro," and the App icon are our trademarks. You may not use them without our prior written permission. All other trademarks belong to their respective owners.
No rights are granted to you other than the limited license in Section 2.
7. User Feedback
If you send us ideas, feedback, or suggestions about the App ("Feedback"), you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use the Feedback for any purpose without obligation to you.
8. Privacy
Your use of the App is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
- Scan results will be complete, accurate, or current.
- Device identifications, vendor names, or port service labels are correct.
- Defects will be corrected or the App will be compatible with future iOS versions or hardware.
Network scanning results depend on many factors outside our control (Wi-Fi signal strength, device firewalls, network configuration, iOS permissions, etc.) and should not be relied on for safety-critical, compliance, or forensic purposes without independent verification.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL DIGITAL BOX STUDIOS, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- Your access to, use of, or inability to use the App.
- Any conduct or content of any third party on or through the App.
- Unauthorized access to, alteration of, or misuse of your data.
- Any other matter relating to the App.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) US $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Digital Box Studios and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:
- Your use or misuse of the App.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of any law or the rights of a third party, including unauthorized network scanning.
12. Termination
These Terms remain in effect while you use the App. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause or notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law.
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law) will survive.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide notice through the App or our website. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Apple-Specific Terms
You acknowledge and agree that these Terms are between you and Digital Box Studios only, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
- Scope of license: The license granted to you is limited to a non-transferable license to use the App on any Apple-branded product you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
- Maintenance and support: Digital Box Studios, not Apple, is solely responsible for maintenance and support of the App. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services with respect to the App.
- Warranty: In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any, for the App to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
- Product claims: Digital Box Studios, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
- Intellectual property claims: In the event of any third-party claim that the App or your use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Digital Box Studios, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of such claim.
- Legal compliance: You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo and are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-party beneficiary: Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except to the extent that mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App will be resolved in the competent courts of Athens, Greece, except that you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence if required by mandatory local law.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also bring proceedings through the EU's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
16. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force.
- No waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
- Assignment: You may not assign these Terms. We may assign these Terms at any time without notice.
- No agency: Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship.
