Surveillance Camera Map

What is This?

This tool visualizes surveillance cameras that have been documented by volunteers on OpenStreetMap. The data comes from the "man_made=surveillance" tag in OpenStreetMap's database.

Note: This shows only cameras that have been mapped by OSM contributors. Many cameras exist that are not documented in this database.

Data Source

Camera locations are fetched in real-time from the Overpass API, which provides access to OpenStreetMap data. The data is community-contributed and may not be complete or up-to-date.

Camera Types

• CCTV: Closed-circuit television cameras for surveillance
• Webcam: Public webcams, often for tourism or weather
• ALPR: Automatic License Plate Recognition cameras
• Guard: Security guard monitoring stations
